Five-Day Faculty Development Program on “Empowering Educators to Integrate NEP 2020 Principles and Indian Knowledge System in Higher Education”

ISB&M College of Commerce successfully organized a Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) from 7th to 11t\h January 2025 on “Empowering Educators to Integrate NEP 2020 Principles and Indian Knowledge System in Higher Education.”

The FDP aimed to enhance educators’ understanding of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and promote the integration of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) into higher education practices. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and provided valuable insights through expert sessions by eminent academicians.

Key Highlights of the FDP

• ✔️ Sessions on Mental Health, Indian Knowledge Systems, Yoga, Mindfulness, and Resilience
• ✔️ Insights into Arthashastra, ancient Indian trade practices, and economic principles
• ✔️ Exploration of India’s engineering marvels, cultural heritage, art, and traditions
• ✔️ Understanding of ancient Indian philosophies, Vedas, Upanishads, and the Gurukul education system
• ✔️ Discussions on implementing NEP 2020 principles in teaching and learning practices

The program concluded with an inspiring Valedictory Session by Dr. Kuldip S. Charak, Director, Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management Studies. Certificates were distributed to the participants, marking the successful completion of the FDP.

The FDP provided a meaningful platform for faculty members to broaden their academic perspectives and understand the relevance of India’s rich knowledge traditions in shaping the future of education.
